1. Responsibilities:
- Measure the air flow in all areas of ships.
- Set up and operate frequency drives.
- Analyse the performance of HVAC system on board
- Participate during sea trials phase, record functioning of the HVAC system and solve issues that may arise.
- Make suggestions/ improvements that can help to reduce operating cost of HVAC system
- Ensure a timely and correct completion of the HVAC commissioning report and present to the Class of HVAC system.
- Liaise with other departments (Piping and HVAC, Engineering, Project management, etc.) such to facilitate efficiently completing all HVAC commissioning tasks.
- Follow maintenance plan of stock vessels in area of HVAC.
- Inspect HVAC system on board to ensure the smooth operation of the system.
- Solve issues arise on board & report to the leader when necessary.
2. Requirements:
- Bachelor degree within Civil, HVAC (Thermoelectric cooling major), Marine or Mechanical engineer.
- Must be minimum of 2 years working experience in HVAC/ accommodation or design department in shipbuilding, oil & gas. It can be in civil construction at the same position as HVAC and accommodation design engineer.
- Proficiency in English communication (both written and spoken), English reporting to facilitate effective collaboration with international teams and stakeholders.
- Ability to use or learn CAD and 3D CAD system such as Auto CAD/ PDMS/ AVEVA marine/ TriBon and other shipbuilding design software;
- Knowledge of HVAC system;
- Knowledge of ship building Class rules, regulations, standards in general;
- Knowledge of fire and safety protection regulations for marine accommodation;
- Knowledge of insulation designing and installation;
- Knowledge of climate designing, noise and vibration control in accommodation;
- Knowledge of interior design coordination;
- Knowledge of floating floor, top covering, ceiling, wall material and installation;
- Knowledge of accommodation arrangement in compliance with building specifications and regulations;
- Knowledge of door, fire protection door, window, penetration designing;
- Knowledge of safety escaping arrangement;
- Related calculating ability for accommodation design (fire loading calculation, glass thickness, volume control, weight control, MTO, etc.).
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects concurrently, and prioritize tasks effectively to meet deadlines.
- Exceptional problem-solving skills and attention to detail in diagnosing and resolving technical issues during commissioning activities.
3. Other Information:
- Working Location: Northern of Vietnam for shipyard building
- Working mode: 5 working days per week, 22 working days per months upon calendar
- Working hours: 8 hours per day
- Salary: Negatiated
- Working duration: minimum 2 years + optional.
